The Precalculus I and II and Calculus courses will prepare students to successfully complete the College Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus CLEP tests that are accepted for college credit at most institutions of higher learning, and that increasing numbers of students are utilizing to reduce college costs. (Courses below this level are typically non-transferable for credit to 4 year colleges and so are not available for CLEP credit.)
One advantage that many students have found with using CLEP to satisfy their college level math requirement is that most schools accept CLEP’s recommended score of 50 as passing, and the exact score does not typically affect their GPA.
